Double-hand Poker is a modern game with ancient origins. Founded on the ancient Chinese domino game and the modern American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the eastern with the west in an awesome game for starting players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler vs. the dealer, not like the majority of other poker games that gamblers compete with other gamblers. By playing against the dealer, beginning players do not have to fret about other, more knowledgeable people winning their cash.

Another Pai Gow advantage is the relatively slow game pace, beginners should be able to take their time and scheme without having to make quick selections.

It’s also easier to bet on for a very long time with only a tiny amount of money seeing as, to not win, both of your hands must be under both of the houses hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card standard deck and one joker. The gambler is dealt 7 cards faces showing and the casino is dealt 7 cards faces hidden.

A 5 card hand and a two card hand need to be made from the 7 cards dealt, the five card hand must be higher than the two card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand totals to be better than the casino’s.
