Pai Gow Poker is a current game with old ancestry. Founded on the ancient Chinese domino game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the east with the west in a fantastic game for starting gamblers.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler vs. the dealer, unlike most other poker games that gamblers bet with other gamblers. By playing against the dealer, new players do not have to be concerned about any other, more skillful people taking their cash.
An additional Pai Gow edge is the relatively slow game play, beginners will be able to take their time and strategize without having to make quick choices.
It’s also easier to bet on for an extended time with just a little bit of cash after all, to lose, both of your hands must be lower than each of the casino’s hands.
Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the customary 52-card basic deck and a single joker. The player is given seven cards face up and the house is given seven cards face down.
One five card hand and one two card hand must be made from the 7 cards, the 5 card hand has to be stronger than the two card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be higher than the casino’s.
